Two members, such as a spacecraft (12) and an object (10) to be ejected from said spacecraft, are normally maintained in cont- act by an unlockable connecting device (44,48,54). In order to bring about an optimum control of the attitude of the object (10) during its ejection, said contact takes place by at least two pairs of complementary cylindrical surfaces (20,22;26,28) having generatrixes parallel to the ejection force and which simultaneously lose contact. The cylindrical surfaces (20,22; 26,28) can in particular be formed on a mast (14) connected to the spacecraft (12) and in a bore (16) connected to the object (10).
