The present invention provides a lens (10) having a plurality of vision areas. The plurality of areas including a first vision area (12), a second vision area (14) surrounding the first vision area, and a third vision area (16) surrounding the second vision area. The first vision area having a first power, the second vision area having a range of powers, and the third vision area having a second power distinct from the first power. One of the first, second and third vision areas having an aspheric surface designed to provide a monotonic gradient in power and the other areas having either spherical surfaces to provide single power values or aspheric surfaces designed to correct optical aberrations within these single power areas.

L'invention porte sur une lentille (10) à plusieurs zones de vision dont une première zone (12) entourée d'une deuxième zone (14) entourée à son tour d'une troisième zone (16), la première zone présentant une première puissance optique, la deuxième zone en présentant plusieurs et la troisième une, différente de la première. L'une des trois zones présente un gradient monotone de puissance et les autres ont soit des surfaces sphériques correspondant à une seule puissance optique, soit des surfaces asphériques corrigeant les aberrations optiques à l'intérieur des zones à puissance optique unique.
