The invention relates to a plant cultivating environment comprising: an oxygen sensing arrangement for sensing an oxygen level in said environment. According to the invention, said oxygen sensing arrangement comprises a base plate for underlying a substrate; and a plurality of oxygen sensors each positioned on said base plate at a predetermined position for sensing a local oxygen level in said substrate. In this way, a water irrigation strategy can be based on sensed levels at a plurality of positions.

L'invention concerne un environnement de culture de végétaux comprenant: un agencement de détection de l'oxygène permettant de détecter le niveau d'oxygène dans l'environnement. Selon l'invention, l'agencement de détection de l'oxygène comprend une plaque de base destinée à recevoir un substrat de manière sous-jacente; et une pluralité de capteurs d'oxygène positionnés individuellement sur la plaque de base au niveau d'une position prédéterminée aux fins de détection du niveau local d'oxygène dans le substrat. Une stratégie d'irrigation aqueuse peut ainsi être fondée sur des niveaux détectés au niveau d'une pluralité de positions.
