Reagents capable of forming branched oligomers with monomeric units are disclosed, together with oligomers incorporating such reagents, kits containing such reagents and methods for use of such reagents in forming oligomers with monomeric units. The present reagents can advantageously be used to introduce multiple labels or reporter molecules onto oligomers such as oligonucleotides and oligopeptides. In particular, non-nucleosidic phosphoramidites based on 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)cyanuric acid are disclosed. Multiply-labeled, branched DNA oligomer probes constructed using these phosphoramidite reagents showed increased signal intensity relative to singly-labeled oligomer probes.

L'invention concerne des réactifs pouvant former des oligomères ramifiés comportant des motifs monomères. Elle concerne également des oligomères comportant de tels réactifs, des kits contenant de tels réactifs et des procédés utilisant de tels réactifs pour former des oligomères comportant des motifs monomères. Les réactifs de l'invention peuvent être avantageusement utilisés pour introduire divers marqueurs ou ligands dans des oligomères tels que les oligonucléotides et les oligopeptides. L'invention concerne, en particulier, des phospharamidites non nucléosidiques à base d'acide 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyéthyl)cyanurique. Des sondes d'oligomères d'ADN ramifié à marqueurs multiples obtenues à partir desdits réactifs phosphoramidites présentent une intensité de signal accrue par rapport aux sondes d'oligomères à marqueur unique.
