Disclosed is a method whereby a multilayer coating film having excellent smoothness, vividness and chip-resistance can be formed by the three-coat one-bake system which comprises successively applying a first water-based color coating, a second water-based color coating and a clear coating onto an article to be coated and then simultaneously heating and curing the three-layered coating film thus obtained. Specifically disclosed is a multilayer film coating-forming method of the three-coat one-bake system which comprises successively applying a first water-based color coating (X), a second water-based color coating (Y) and a clear coating (Z) onto an article to be coated and then simultaneously heating curing the three-layered coating film thus obtained, characterized in that said first water-based color coating (X) is a water- based coating composition comprising an acrylic resin (A), a curing agent (B) and a urethane resin emulsion (C), and a first color coating film formed by applying said first water-based color coating (X) has a water swelling ratio equal to or less than 100% and an organic solvent swelling ratio equal to or less than 300%.
L'invention porte sur un procédé par lequel un film de revêtement multicouche ayant un excellent lissé, une excellente vivacité et une excellente résistance à l'écaillage peut être formé par le système à trois couches et cuisson simple qui comprend l'application successive d'un premier revêtement en couleur à base d'eau, d'un second revêtement en couleur à base d'eau et d'un revêtement transparent sur un article devant être revêtu, puis le chauffage et le durcissement simultanés du film de revêtement à trois couches ainsi obtenu. L'invention porte de façon spécifique sur un procédé de formation de revêtement de film multicouche du système à trois couches et cuisson simple, qui comprend l'application successive d'un premier revêtement en couleur à base d'eau (X), d'un second revêtement en couleur à base d'eau (Y) et d'un revêtement transparent (Z) sur un article devant être revêtu, puis le durcissement et le chauffage simultanés du film de revêtement à trois couches ainsi obtenu, caractérisé en ce que ledit premier revêtement en couleur à base d'eau (X) est une composition de revêtement à base d'eau comprenant une résine acrylique (A), un agent de durcissement (B) et une émulsion de résine d'uréthane (C), et un premier film de revêtement en couleur formé par application dudit premier revêtement en couleur à base d'eau (X), ayant un taux de gonflement dans l'eau inférieur ou égal à 100 % et un taux de gonflement dans un solvant organique inférieur ou égal à 300 %.
