A multilayer composite comprising at least the following layers: I. a layer of polyamide molding composition and II. a layer of a polyalkylene 2,6-naphthalate molding composition consisting essentially of: a) from 80 to 99% by weight of polyalkylene 2,6-naphthalate and b) from 1 to 20% by weight of one or more compounds containing at least two isocyanate groups, has firm and durable bonding without use of an additional layer of bonding agent. The composite may be used for the transport of (petro)chemical materials, as a pipe in the motor vehicle sector and also as a hollow body.
