To increase the barrier effect of a metallized film intended for use in the packaging, in particular of food products, a particular composition of the plastic layer (A) is suggested, on which the metal layer (M) is deposited by vacuum evaporation. The plastic layer comprises a polypropylene and butene copolymer and is subjected to a preliminary surface activation treatment, preferably to a flame treatment, and to a subsequent plasma treatment under partial vacuum conditions prior to metallization.

L'invention concerne l'amélioration de l'effet barrière de film métallisé pour emballage, en particulier de produits alimentaires, par utilisation d'une composition spécifique de la couche plastique (A) sur laquelle on dépose la couche métallique (M) en évaporation sous vide. La couche plastique comprend un copolymère de polypropylène et de butène et est soumise à un traitement préliminaire d'activation de surface, de préférence à la flamme, puis à un traitement au plasma sous vide partiel avant la métallisation.
