This invention relates to erosion resistant coatings comprising at least 2 sublayer systems in which each sublayer system is separated from another by an interlayer, wherein (i) each sublayer system is the same or different and comprises at least 4 layers, (ii) said layers comprise alternating layers of a nitride- containing compound of stoichiometric composition and a nitride-containing compound of nonstoichiometric composition, (iii) each sublayer system has a thickness of greater than about 0.4 microns, and (iv) each interlayer is the same or different and comprises a metal -containing compound. This invention also relates to a method for producing the coatings and to articles, e.g., gas turbine compressor rotor blade and stator vanes, coated with the coatings.
La présente invention concerne des revêtements résistant à l'érosion comprenant au moins 2 systèmes de sous-couches séparés les uns des autres par une couche intermédiaire. Selon l'invention : (i) chaque système de sous-couches est différent ou identique aux autres et comprend au moins 4 couches; (ii) lesdites couches comprennent des couches alternées d'un composé contenant du nitrure et ayant une composition stoechiométrique et d'un composé contenant du nitrure et ayant une composition non stoechiommétrique; (iii) chaque système de sous-couches a une épaisseur supérieure à environ 0,4 microns; et (iv) chaque couche intermédiaire est différente ou identique aux autres et comprend un composé contenant du métal. L'invention a également pour objet un procédé pour produire les revêtements de l'invention et des articles, par ex. des pales de rotor de compresseur de turbine à gaz et des pales de stator, dotées de ces revêtements.
