A multilayer plastic pipe consisting of an inner and outer layer based on a polyamide, the inner and outer layer being intimately bonded to one another by at least one intermediate layer of a moulding composition based on a mixture of 95 to 60% by weight of a linear, crystalline polyester and 5 to 40% by weight of a polymer containing reactive groups other than epoxy groups. At least 50% of the end groups of the polyamide are amino end groups. The pipes have a good mechanical resistance and a good barrier action against diffusion of chemical agents, solvents and fuels. Due to the intimate bonding of the layers, no shear- ing or delamination of the various layers occur during thermal expansion or bending of the pipe.
