The present invention relates to a thin impermeable top coat on a thermal barrier coating for a metal part, such as a turbine blade, wherein the composite thin top coat is a porous, inert, non-sacrificial, less permeable ceramic layer that eliminates the infiltration of environmental contaminants into the thermal barrier coating during operation of the metal part, thereby extending the life of the underlying thermal barrier coating and metal part thereunder.
La présente invention concerne la couche supérieure fine et imperméable d'un revêtement à barrière thermique destiné à une pièce métallique, par exemple une aube de turbine, la fine couche supérieure composite étant une couche céramique poreuse inerte non sacrificielle et moins perméable qui élimine l'infiltration de polluants de l'environnement dans le revêtement à barrière thermique lors de l'utilisation de la pièce métallique, étendant ainsi la durée de vie du revêtement à barrière thermique sous-jacent et de la pièce métallique associée.
