The present method is a process for reprojecting, or computing tomographic projections of an image (12), based on multilevel image domain decomposition. The method includes decomposing an image (12) into one or more sub-images (14, 16, 18, 20), followed by reprojection of the sub-images (14, 16, 18, 20) into sinograms (22, 24, 26, 28), appropriate scaling of the sinograms, and aggregation of the sub-image sinograms (22, 24, 26, 28) into a single sinogram (14) of the entire image (12). The multilevel process attains image quality comparable to that of direct reprojection methods, while requiring much less computation, and therefore being much faster.
L'invention concerne un procédé de reprojection, ou des projections tomographiques informatiques d'image (12), basé sur la décomposition d'un domaine d'image multiniveau. Ledit procédé consiste à décomposer une image (12) en au moins une sous-image (20), à reprojeter ces sous-images (12) en sinogrammes (22), à effectuer une mise à l'échelle appropriée de ces sinogrammes, et à réunir lesdits sinogrammes de sous-image (28) en un seul sinogramme (14) de l'image globale (12). Ce procédé multiniveau permet d'atteindre une qualité comparable à celle obtenue par des procédés de reprojection directe, tout en requérant beaucoup moins de traitement, et en étant cependant beaucoup plus rapide.
