Laser-cut spinnerets allow the production of 6- and 4-hole trilobal hollow filaments. The voids provide improved bulk, resiliency, glitter-free luster and soil hiding compared with solid cross section filaments. Compared with DuPont trilobal and tetralobal hollowfil, these cross sections provide improved soil release and high fiber rigidity. Modifications ratios are between 1.8 and 4.0, and void levels are between 5 and 35 %.
