The invention relates to a multimedia arrangement comprising a remote control (1) having a keypad (4) with only six control buttons (5-10). All functions of the multimedia device (2) can be controlled via three menu levels, an object group being selectable in the first menu level, an object being selectable in the second menu level, and an action to be performed with the object being selectable in the third. Elements of the object groups, objects, and actions are displayed in fields on the display device in a vertical column (31) and a horizontal line (32), the column (31) and the line (32) intersecting in a focus field (33). The elements of the fields can be moved by the control buttons (5-8) in the fixed focus field, and can be activated there by a selection button (9). Selection and arrangement of the elements is done by a user database (20) in the multimedia device depending on data determined by an identification device of the remote control.
L'invention concerne un système multimédia comprenant une télécommande (1) pourvue d'un clavier (4) qui ne présente que six touches de commande (5-10). Toutes les fonctions de l'appareil multimédia (2) peuvent être commandées par l'intermédiaire de trois niveaux de menu, le premier niveau de menu permettant de commander un groupe d'objets, le deuxième niveau de menu un objet et le troisième niveau de menu une action à exécuter avec cet objet. Des éléments des groupes d'objets, des objets et des actions sont représentés dans des champs sur le dispositif d'affichage dans une colonne (31) verticale et sur une ligne (32) horizontale, cette colonne (31) et cette ligne (32) se croisant au niveau d'un champ de focalisation (33). Les éléments des champs peuvent être déplacés au moyen des touches de commande (5-8) dans le champ de focalisation fixe et activés dans celui-ci à l'aide d'une touche de sélection (9). La sélection et la disposition des éléments se fait par l'intermédiaire d'une banque de données utilisateur (20) dans l'appareil multimédia en fonction de données déterminées par un dispositif d'identification de la télécommande.
