A B S T R A C T A multimedia communication system comprising, in combination: a file server; at least one workstation designated for use in performing a first task; at least one workstation designated for use in performing a second task; at least one image entry workstation designated for entry of data for use in connection with the first and second tasks; a Local Area Network (LAN) linking each workstation to the file server; and program means whereby users at the first and second workstations can access and manipulate data simultaneously.
