The machining head of the invention is able to drill a large number of holes spaced regularly on a part made of a composite material having a large surface, such as carbon. It is equipped with electropins (5) rotating at high speed (forty thousand r.p.m) cooled via oil circulation. Suction means for sucking up dust resulting from machining are provided around drill bits (7). Means (20) for supporting the part (11) to be machined are provided so as to ensure that the part does not vibrate via the high speed of rotation of the drill bits (7). Application for the perforation of the acoustic skins of turbojet engines.
