A system and method for providing quick retrieval of personal medical history profile includes maintaining in a database for each of a plurality of individuals a medical history profile and corresponding at least one biometric characteristic. The medical history profile is retrieved from the database based on one or multiple biometric characteristics of the individual.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant une récupération rapide d'un profil d'antécédents médicaux personnel. Selon l'invention, on conserve et met à jour dans une base de données (38) un profil d'antécédents médicaux (66, 68, 70) et au moins une caractéristique biométrique correspondante (60, 62, 64) pour chaque individu d'un groupe d'individus (72, 74, 76, 78). Le profil d'antécédents médicaux est extrait de la base de données en fonction d'au moins une caractéristique biométrique de l'individu.
