MULTIPLE BOLT LATCH ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A latch for closing a door, or the like, at a plurality of points thereof, which can be actuated by one knob or by a thrust exerted on the door. Said latch comprises at least one spring bolt carried on a rod which is disposed behind an head plate, and which has an end engaged with an actuating mechanism. Said actuating mechanism comprises a member defining a door-knob hole and two arms, one of said arms being engaged in a notch of a slide member having a heel portion engaged in a notch of the end of each rod. Spring means bias the rods and each spring bolt toward oblique guiding edges of the corresponding keeper. One knob and one slide member move simultaneously all the rods and spring bolts in a direction extending parallely to the head plate for closing or opening the door. Moreover a thrust exerted on the opened door causes the spring bolts to move and engage into the keeper.
