ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A separatory module includes a plurality of bundles of hollow fiber membranes potted at one end. The module includes a cylindrical impervious pressure shell, a cluster of bundles within the shell having their axes parallel to but displaced-from the shell axis. A base member is included provided with cavities to receive the potted ends of the bundles and a back-up disc is disposed to support internal hydraulic thrust on the potted bundle ends. Fluid feed means are provided for admission of pressurized feed and means are provided for distributing feed fluid uniformly to the bundles. Means are also provided for collecting and removing permeate passing through the fiber membranes and means are provided for collecting and removing concentrated non-permeated feed fluid.
