A multiple channel sample port for an airway adaptor, which includes a substantially spherical projection with a plurality of inlet tubes and an outlet, which is designed to be placed substantially within the main channel of the airway adaptor through an opening in the side wall of main channel of the airway adaptor. The outlet is connected to, or integrally formed with, one end of a substantially cylindrical chamber. The opposite end of the substantially cylindrical chamber is adapted to be connected to a gas analyzer. When a pressure reduced below atmospheric pressure is applied at the gas analyzer, gas flows from the main channel of the airway adaptor into the inlets of the substantially spherical projection, through the spherical projection into the substantially cylindrical projection, and from thence to the gas analyzer.

Cette invention concerne un accessoire d'introduction d'échantillon à voies multiples qui comporte une pièce saillante essentiellement sphérique comprenant plusieurs tubes d'admission et un raccord de sortie et qui est à placer dans le passage principal d'un adaptateur d'admission par un orifice dans la paroi de l'adaptateur. Le raccord de sortie susmentionné est raccordé à un bout d'une enceinte essentiellement cylindrique ou moulé à même. Le bout opposé de l'enceinte essentiellement cylindrique est dimensionné et configuré pour raccordement à un analyseur de gaz. Lorsqu'une dépression est créée dans l'analyseur de gaz, le gaz à analyser passe du passage principal de l'adaptateur d'admission dans l'un des tubes d'admission de la pièce essentiellement sphérique, traverse cette pièce et aboutit dans l'enceinte essentiellement cylindrique et, de là, dans l'analyseur de gaz.
