A multiple combustion chamber and tensile compression mechanism single- cycle rotary internal combustion engine comprised of a cylinder block and a main rotor. The cylinder block has a circular cylinder, with a minimum of one concentric annular region of slightly smaller segmented diameter utilized therein to form a choke valve seat. Positioned in respective order in the choke valve seat area is an ignition system, an exhaust port, and an air intake fixture. The main rotor is installed concentrically within the cylinder and, furthermore, slides in coordinated contact with the choke valve seat, and a minimum of one tensile compression mechanism is disposed along its circumference and a combustion chamber is formed near the anterior end of each tensile compression mechanism. The choking component of the tensile compression mechanism is positioned against the cylinder wall or the choke valve seat to maintain a pressure-tight engagement such that as the main rotor rotates, the compressed fuel mixture in a plenum chamber induced by an air intake fixture is admitted into the combustion chamber. When the combustion chamber is rotated into alignment with an ignition system, the fuel- air- mixture is immediately detonated to generate thrust capable of directly rotating the main rotor in a single direction naturally and continuously to produce kinetic energy at maximum efficiency.
