2088982 9202211 PCTABS00010 A bioerodable implant providing for the parenteral release of at least two bioactive drugs is described. The implant comprises a non-polymeric core containing a core drug. The core is sheathed on selected surfaces with a polymeric coating, the sheathing having a drug incorporated within its matrix. The sheathing serves to limit the core surface area available for core erosion in order to yield time-invariant, zero-order release kinetics. Methods and apparatus used to form the bioerodable implant are also described.
