ABSTRACT A doll operating mechanism, for incorporation within a doll, includes a motor, and is characterized by means coupled to the motor for providing reciprocating circular motion, and means driven by the motor for reciprocating linear motion. The means coupled to the motor for providing reciprocating circular motion includes a cam surface driven by the motor, and the means for providing reciprocating linear motion includes a shaft driven by the motor, and an offset crank driven by the shaft, and further including pump means connected to the crank for moving liquid, so that the doll can be caused to perform an arm waving motion, and to shed simulated tears.
