Apparatus for dispensing a plurality of ligating bands (30-35) individually and sequentially. A support, attached to the distal end (23) of an endoscope (21), carries the plurality of ligating bands at axially spaced positions along an exterior surface. The distal ends (40d-45d) of each set of independent displacement filaments (40-45) of each ligating band releasably attach to the distal edge (29) of the dispenser. Each filament loops around the corresponding ligating band and returns past the distal edge of the dispenser and through the endoscope to the proximal end thereof. When a physician pulls a set of filaments (40p-45p) proximally, the loop in each filament advances the corresponding ligating band off the distal edge of the dispenser.

Un support fixé à l'extrémité distale (23) d'un endoscope (21) porte plusieurs bandes de ligature réparties axialement le long d'une surface extérieure. Les extrémités distales (40d-45d) de chacun des jeux de filaments (40, 45) à déplacement indépendant de chaque bande de ligature sont fixées de manière détachable au bord distal (29) du distributeur. Chacun des filaments s'enroule autour de la bande de ligature correspondante et revient en passant devant le bord distal du distributeur à travers l'endoscope jusqu'à l'extrémité proximale de ce dernier. Lorsqu'un praticien tire sur un jeu de filaments (40p, 45p) dans la direction proximale, la boucle d'un filament fait passer la bande de ligature correspondante au-delà du bord distal du distributeur.
