A multiple-lumen catheter is disclosed that includes a catheter tube (11) having a generally elongate cylindrical body (21) having an axial passageway (31) extending the length thereof. A septum (22) extends across the interior of the body (37) and along the length thereof in order to divide the body (21) into first (23) and second (24) lumens. A bolus (20) extends from a distal end (15) of the body. The bolus (20) has a passage section including an axial passage portion (46) and a radial passage portion (47). The axial passage portion (46) is in fluid communication with the first (23) and second (24) lumens. The radial passage portion (47) includes a single port (48) through the side of the bolus (20) whereby the first (23) and second (24) lumens are in fluid communication with the port (48). According to another form of the invention, the radial passage (247) includes a first port (249) and a second port (250) therein.
L'invention concerne un cathéter comportant des lumières multiples et comprenant un tube de cathéter (11) possédant un corps cylindrique généralement allongé (21) sur la longueur duquel s'étend un passage axial (31). Une cloison (22) s'étend à travers l'intérieur du corps (37), ainsi que sur la longueur dudit corps, afin de diviser le corps (21) en une première (23) et en une deuxième (24) lumières. Une partie arrondie (20) s'étend depuis une extrémité distale (15) du corps. Cette partie arrondie (20) possède un passage comprenant une partie axiale (46) et une partie radiale (47). La partie axiale (46) est en communication fluide avec la première (23) et la deuxième (24) lumières. La partie radiale (47) comprend un orifice unique (48) traversant le côté de la partie arrondie (20), ce qui permet à la première (23) et à la deuxième (24) lumières de se trouver en communication fluide avec ledit orifice (48). Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le passage radial (247) comprend un premier orifice (249) et un deuxième orifice (250).
