MULTIPLE OCTAVE GENERATOR TUNING SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a multiple octave generator system for providing tones in an electronic organ. The system permits the production of both ensemble and celeste ef- fects by providing the appropriate amount of detuning between cascaded ranks of divide-by-two type tone genera- tors. The generator system has a minimum number of adja- cent octaves that are locked and thus provides overall stretched tuning to more closely resemble pipe organ tuning. An alternative embodiment of the generator system permits the beat rate of the lower octaves to be increased to a more desirable rate without causing the beat rate of the upper octaves to become too fast.
