A method of resolving ambiguities between at least two pointers in an interactive input system comprises capturing images of a region of interest, processing image data to determine a plurality of potential targets for the at least two pointers within the region of interest and a current target location for each potential target, the plurality of potential targets comprising real and phantom targets, tracking each potential target within the region of interest and calculating a predicted target location for each potential target and determining a pointer path associated at least with each real target.

L'invention concerne un procédé de résolution d'ambiguïtés entre au moins deux pointeurs dans un système de saisie interactif, comprenant la capture d'images d'une zone d'intérêt, le traitement de données d'images afin de déterminer une pluralité de cibles potentielles pour les au moins deux pointeurs à l'intérieur de la zone d'intérêt et un emplacement cible courant pour chaque cible potentielle, la pluralité de cibles potentielles incluant des cibles réelles et des cibles fantômes, le repérage de chaque cible potentielle à l'intérieur de la zone d'intérêt, le calcul d'un emplacement cible prévu pour chaque cible potentielle et la détermination d'un trajet de pointeur associé au moins à chaque cible réelle.
