ABSTRACT A rotary hoe arrangement having a row of hoe wheels mounted respectively on a series of in- dependent operating arms supporting the hoe wheels for individual operative ground contact independently of other hoe wheels and all of the operating arms being mounted on a pivot shaft which is mounted on a frame by laterally spaced pivot bearings with springs individual to each operating arm on the pivot shaft to exert pressure to urge indivudual arms into contact with the ground, but which yields to upward movement of the arms with a stop on each arm engageable with the frame to dispose all of the hoe wheels in the same operative position and wherein the arms and stops are so formed and disposed as to locate the hoe wheels in a row and whereby the hoe wheels are adapted to function independently over ground being worked so that each wheel may be deflected about the pivot shaft without translating movement to other hoe wheels.
