Abstract of the Disclosure Each combustion chamber is supplied with an air- fuel mixture and a relatively large amount of additional recirculated exhaust gas. The mixture is ignited by a plurality of spark plugs disposed in the each combustion chamber to produce a multiplicity of flame fronts which propagate toward the centre of the chamber. The exhaust ports are siamesed to maintain exhaust gas temperature.
