The invention relates to a multiple width fiber strip consisting of curled, interlaced filaments and having several zones extending in longitudinal direction of the fiber strip as well as at least one tear line (4) extending in longitudinal direction of the fiber strip, wherein the tear strength (daN) of the fiber strip, referred to the total titer (dtex) is at least about 1.7 x 10-4 daN/dtex (determined in analogy to DIN 53 834 Tl, February 1976, under a tension of 2.5 N). Further it relates to a method for producing one or several such fiber strips, with several separate bands (1, 2) being formed of substantially parallelly extending filaments and the formed bands being curled jointly to produce one or several curled fiber strips. The apparatus for carrying out this method is characterized by a transport roll pair (8, 9) for jointly transporting the supplied bands (1, 2) and a curling unit (10.1, 10.2, 11, 12) which is arranged after the transport roll pair (8, 9), for curling the bands (1, 2) leaving the transport roll pair. The invention makes possible, in the case of the production of a multiple width fiber strip with the tear line referred to, processing on a double skein filter rod machine with a single (individual) treatment section.
'invention a trait à une bande de fibre de diverses largeurs composée de filaments ondulés tressés et ayant plusieurs zones s'étendant dans le sens longitudinal de la bande de fibre et au moins une ligne de déchirure (4) allant dans le sens longitudinal de la bande de fibre, dont la résistance à la déchirure (daN), exprimée en denier total (dtex) est d'au moins environ 1.7 X 10-4 daN/dtex (établie selon la norme DIN 53 384 TI, février 1976, sous une traction de 2,5 N). De plus, elle a trait à une méthode de production d'une ou plusieurs de ces bandes de fibre; plusieurs bandes séparées (1,2) étant formées de filaments essentiellement parallèles et les bandes formées étant ondulées ensemble pour produire une ou plusieurs bandes de fibre ondulée. L'appareil utilisé pour mettre en oeuvre cette méthode se compose d'une paire de rouleaux de transport (8, 9) pour acheminer ensemble les bandes fournies (1,2) et d'un dispositif de bouclage (10.1, 10.2, 11, 12) qui est placé après la paire de rouleaux de transport. L'invention rend possible, dans le cas de la production d'une bande de fibre de diverses largeurs comportant la ligne de déchirure mentionnée, le traitement sur une machine à dévidoir et filtre pour deux écheveaux dotée d'une seule section de traitement.
