The present invention relates to a multiplexing/demultiplexing unit constructed as an integrated circuit and as a block on a sub-surface of a silicon surface, such as a digital Bi-CMOS circuit and utilizing a CMOS section laid on said circuit, wherein a first sub-surface of a silicon surface carries a first array of signal input and output circuits, and a second sub-surface carries a second array of input and output circuits. A region is located on the silicon surface between the first and the second sub- surfaces or located in some corresponding manner and is intended to carry control logic, memory stores, buffer circuits, synchronizing circuit arrangement and the requisite conductors and functions to process signals, store signals and transmit the processed signals on selected output circuits both when multiplexing and demultiplexing signals.
Unité de multiplexage/démultiplexage se présentant sous la forme d'un circuit intégré et d'un bloc sur la surface secondaire d'une surface en silicium, par exemple un circuit Bi-CMOS numérique, et mettant en oeuvre une section CMOS déposée sur ledit circuit. Une première surface secondaire d'une surface en silicium porte un premier groupe (41') de circuits d'entrée et de sortie de signaux, et une seconde surface secondaire porte un un second groupe (41") de circuits d'entrée et de sortie. Une zone (50) située sur la surface en silicium entre les première et seconde surfaces secondaires, ou située de manière correspondante, est destinée à porter une logique de commande (51), des mémoires (52), des circuits tampons (53), un agencement de circuit de synchronisation (54) et les conducteurs et fonctions nécessaires au traitement des signaux, au stockage des signaux, et à la transmission des signaux traités par l'intermédiaire de circuits de sortie choisis, cela tant lors du multiplexage des signaux que lors de leur démultiplexage.
