A multiport ice dispensing device includes an ice hopper containing a paddle wheel and a series of openings in the hopper wall aligned with the wheel's periphery. At each opening's outlet is a gate valve to an ice conveyance conduit to a remote ice-using location. Ice is delivered by simultaneously opening the gate valve of the conduit and vacuum line to that location. Rotating the wheel inside the hopper presents ice cubes to the active opening and vacuum in the conduit draws the ice cubes into the conduit and on to the remote location. Control can be centralized so ice delivery can occur in a predetermined sequence or on an as-needed basis. Diversion of ice from one path to another it is easy and rapid to by simply opening and closing the respective vacuum and gate valves.
