ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Corrosion inhibiting compositions and methods of using same in automobile coolant systems of the following composition: Image wherein said compositions are utilized in dosages ranging from 2-4 fluid ounces per gallon of coolant and the coolant in use is maintained or adjusted to an alkaline pH of about 10-12 and preferably about 10.4-10.8. A preferred modus for the corrosion inhibitor is in a unitary pack or fused pallet which is combined with a cartridge or spin-on type filter for unitary replacement in the coolant system.
