The multipurpose balloon catheter (10) comprises a tubular body (14) having a proximal end portion (12), a distal end portion (16), and at least two lumens within the tubular body (14). The distal end portion (16) has three spaced-apart balloons thereon, the distal balloon (20) being an occlusive balloon, the middle balloon (22) being a stent mounting balloon, and the proximal balloon (26) being an occlusive balloon.
