A system and method for controlling the output of a semiconductor laser is presented. The system and method includes using non¬ linear equations to calculate a state space model of the laser sound an operating point. Adaptive algorithms are calculated and control signals determined using a controller (see Fig. 14, Character 925) to determine appropriate control laws and cost functions, which are then optimized and used to feedback (Fig. 14, CHaracter 920) a control signal to the semiconductor laser improve the performance and stabilize the output of the laser.
L'invention porte sur un système et un procédé de régulation des émissions d'un laser à semi-conducteur utilisant des équations non linéaires pour calculer un modèle d'état spatial du laser autour d'un point de fonctionnement. A cet effet, on calcule des algorithmes adaptatifs, et on détermine des signaux de commande à l'aide d'un ordinateur qui établit des règles de commande et des fonctions de coûts appropriées, qui sont ensuite optimisées et utilisées pour rétrofournir un signal de commande au laser à semi-conducteur pour en améliorer les performances et en stabiliser les émissions.
