A steam generator includes a furnace configured and adapted to generate a stream of furnace exit gases from the combustion of municipal solid waste fuel. At least one superheater is disposed within an upper portion of the furnace or backpass. The superheater is configured and adapted to superheat fluids within the superheater by facilitating heat transfer between fluids within the superheater and furnace exit gases outside the superheater. At least one waterwall furnace platen is disposed within the furnace upstream from the superheater, the waterwall furnace platen is configured and adapted to lower furnace exit gas temperature at the superheater by facilitating heat transfer between fluids within the waterwall furnace platen and furnace exit gases outside the waterwall furnace platen.
L'invention concerne un générateur de vapeur qui inclut un four configuré et conçu pour générer un flux de gaz sortant du four, issus de la combustion d'un carburant fait de déchets solides municipaux. Au moins un surchauffeur est disposé à l'intérieur de la partie supérieure du four ou passe par derrière. Le surchauffeur est configuré et conçu pour surchauffer des fluides à l'intérieur du surchauffeur en facilitant le transfert de chaleur entre les fluides à l'intérieur du surchauffeur et des gaz en sortie du four à l'extérieur du surchauffeur. Au moins un plateau du four à cloisons remplies d'eau est disposé à l'intérieur du four en amont du surchauffeur, le plateau de four à cloisons remplies d'eau est configuré et conçu pour diminuer la température des gaz en sortie du four au niveau du surchauffeur en facilitant le transfert de chaleur entre les fluides à l'intérieur du plateau de four à cloisons remplies d'eau et les gaz en sortie du four à l'extérieur du plateau du four à cloisons remplies d'eau.
