Described herein are muscarinic receptor-selective compounds of Formula (I), wherein: A and B are independently selected, optionally substituted, unsaturated 5- or 6-membered, homo- or heterocyclic rings; X1 is selected from O, S, SO, SO2, C=O, CH2, CH-OH, CH-NEt2, C=CHCI, C=CHCN, NH, N-C1-4alkyl and N- acetyl; X2--- is selected from N=, CH2-, CH= and C(O)-; n is 1 or 2; and Z is selected from C1-6alkyl optionally substituted with a substituent selected from OH, halo, C1-4alkyl, C1-4alkoxy and phenyl; and acid addition salts, solvates and hydrates thereof. Their use as ligands for dopamine receptor identification and in a drug screening program, and as pharmaceuticals to treat indications in which the M1/M2 receptor is implicated, such as schizophrenia, are also described.

Composés se liant sélectivement à des récepteurs muscariniques, de formule I, où A et B désignent des composés homo ou hétérocycliques insaturés de 5 ou 6 membres, choisis indépendamment et pouvant être remplacés; X¿1? étant choisi parmi O, S, SO, SO¿2?, C=O, CH¿2?, CH-OH, CH-NEt¿2?, C=CHCl, C=CHCN, NH, N-C¿1-4?alkyle et N-acétyle; X¿2?--- étant choisis parmi N=, CH¿2?-, CH= et C(O)-; n étant égal à 1 ou à 2 et Z étant choisi parmi C¿1-6?alkyle, pouvant être remplacé par OH, halo, C¿1-4?alkyle, C¿1-4?alcoxy ou phényle. Ces composés comportent également des sels acidifiants ainsi que des solvates et des hydrates de ceux-ci. Est également présenté l'emploi de ces composés comme ligands pour l'identification de récepteurs de la dopamine et le dépistage systématique des drogues et comme produits pharmaceutiques pour le traitement d'affections, telle la schizophrénie, impliquant le récepteur M1/M2.
