A method of performing therapy comprising identifying emotions or thoughts of a human individual and selecting music based on these emotions or thoughts. The individual is exposed to the music wherein the music directly influences the emotions or thoughts of the individual causing self enhancing behavior. A music assisted therapy program comprising a set of music recordings classified according to genre and according to an issue to which each music recording relates. A set of questions accompanies each music recording for a therapist to ask an individual after the respective music recording is played for the individual to promote discussion between the therapist and individual.
L'invention concerne une méthode thérapeutique consistant d'abord à identifier les émotions ou les pensées d'un patient, sur la base desquelles on sélectionne ensuite la musique appropriée. On expose le patient à la musique choisie. Celle-ci influence directement ces émotions ou ces pensées et le pousse à améliorer son comportement. L'invention concerne par ailleurs un programme de musicothérapie comportant un ensemble d'enregistrements musicaux classés par genre et par thème. Un groupe de questions accompagnant chaque enregistrement musical est destiné au thérapeute qui pose ces questions au patient après que ce dernier ait écouté la musique choisie, favorisant ainsi le dialogue entre le thérapeute et le patient.
