This invention provides a control system for automatically tuning a stringed instrument utilizing a calibration library (60) to tune the instrument in a plurality of operating conditions without recalibration. When tuning the instrument, processor (50) obtains a calibration function from the memory (60) and utilizes it to generate control signals. The control signals are utilized by actuators (90) to tune the instrument. The operating conditions may include changes in temperature and humidity, different sets of strings made with different materials and gauges, broken strings and the installation of a capo. The calibration can also be provided for instruments of different makes and models, string lengths, body materials and actuator types.
Cette invention concerne un système de commande permettant d'accorder automatiquement un instrument à cordes, lequel système fait appel à une bibliothèque d'étalonnage (60) afin de pouvoir accorder l'instrument dans plusieurs conditions de fonctionnement et sans devoir effectuer à chaque fois un nouvel étalonnage. Lors de l'accordage de l'instrument, un processeur (50) reçoit une fonction d'étalonnage de la mémoire (60), et s'en sert pour générer des signaux de commande. Des dispositifs d'actionnement (90) vont ensuite utiliser ces signaux de commande afin d'accorder l'instrument. Les conditions d'utilisation peuvent inclure des variations de température et d'humidité, différents jeux de cordes faites de différents matériaux et de calibres différents, des cordes cassées, ou encore l'installation d'un capo d'astre. L'étalonnage peut également être effectué pour des instruments de marques et de modèles différents, qui possèdent des longueurs de cordes et des types de dispositifs d'actionnement différents, et dont le corps est fait de matériaux divers.
