New mutant penicillin G acylases preferably from E. coli are provided, exhibiting altered enzymatic activity. These penicillin G acylases are obtained by expression of a gene encoding said penicillin G acylase having an amino acid sequence which differs at least in one amino acid from the wild-type penicillin G acylase.

L'invention concerne des nouvelles acylases mutantes de la pénicilline G, de préférence d'E. coli, présentant une activité enzymatique modifiée. Ces acylases de pénicilline G sont produites par l'expression d'un gène codant ladite acylase de pénicilline G ayant une séquence d'acides aminés qui diffère d'au moins un acide aminé de l'acylase sauvage de pénicilline G.
