The present invention comprises a furin polypeptide having a modified amino acid sequence between the middle, homo-B-domain and the transmembrane domain compared to wild-type furin which retains proteolytic activity but is secreted at lower levels in cell culture compared to wild-type furin. Additionally, the invention includes nucleic acid molecules encoding such furin polypeptides, vectors and host cells comprising said nucleic acid molecules, compositions comprising said furin polypeptide and methods for producing such compositions.
La présente invention concerne un polypeptide furine à séquence d'acides aminés modifiée entre le domaine central homo-B et le domaine transmembrane par comparaison à la furine de type sauvage, qui conserve une activité protéolytique, mais qui est sécrétée à des niveaux plus bas en culture cellulaire que la furine de type sauvage. De plus, l'invention concerne des molécules d'acides nucléiques codant pour de tels polypeptides furine, des vecteurs et des cellules renfermant lesdites molécules d'acides nucléiques et des méthodes d'obtention de telles compositions.
