ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compounds of the formula I Image I in which m is 0 or 1, n is 1 or 2, X is -OH, -OR3 or -NR4R5, R is H or CH3, R1 is an n-valent radical, R2 to R5 are monovalent radicals or hydrogen and Z is a divalent hydrocarbon group, and also salts of these compounds, are valuable light stabilisers for organic materials, especially for polymers. The compounds of formula I can be prepared from the corresponding 4-sec.- aminopiperidines by reaction with cyclic dicarboxylic acid anhydrides and appropriate further re- actions.
