The method of its preparation includes the N-alkylation of 4(R)-phenyl-2-pyrrolidinone with ethyl bromoacetate in the presence of a strong base and the treatment of intermediate N-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-4(R)-phenyl-2-pyrrolidinone with ammonia.

Le procédé consistant à le préparer comprend la N-alkylation de 4(R)-phenyl-2-pyrrolidinone avec du bromoacétate d'éthyle en présence d'une base solide, et le traitement du produit intermédiaire N-ethoxycarbonylmethyl-4(R)-phenyl-2-pyrrolidinone avec de l'ammoniac.
