ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Processes are provided herein for producing new compounds with the general formula I Image I or the tautomeric forms thereof in which R stands for a straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated, aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, mono- or bicyclic, carbocyclic aryl or aralkyl, aryl meaning unsubstituted or substituted phenyl or naphthyl, and the alkyl moiety of aralkyl having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The new compounds are of low toxicity and have been shown to exert a strong and prolonged antihypertensive effect in various animal species when administered enterally or parenterally, without giving rise to other pharmacodynamic effects.
