Abstract of the Disclosure N-haloalkyl thiobenzanilide compounds having the formula Image in which R is hydrogen, C1-C5 alkyl, preferably C1-C3 alkyl, C1-C3 haloalkyl, preferably -CF3, halogen including -F, -Cl, -Br, and -I, -NC2, C1-C2 alkoxy, R1 is -H or -C?N, X and Y are either -Cl or -F but not indentical when R1 is H and X and Y are -Cl when R1 is -C?N, and their use as fungicides.
