New inclusion complexes which are stable in their solid state formed of SIN-1A and cyclodextrins or cyclodextrin derivatives, and optionally also containing ions as catalyst or stabilizer. The complexes release nitric oxide at room temperature upon dissolving in water or aqueous systems. Pharmaceutical compositions as well as kits containing the complexes. The kits are to be used as NO-liberating standards to release NO in a predictable amount and rate on dissolving in aqueous media. Processes for the preparation of the complexes by subjecting at a suitable pH SIN-1 to the catalytic action of ions to shift the equilibrium towards formation of SIN-IA in the presence of cyclodextrins or cyclodextrin derivatives capable of forming inclusion complexes, whereby the SIN-1A formed is immediately complexed and stabilized and isolating in the solid state the obtained new complexes optionally containing ions.
Nouveaux complexes d'inclusion stables à l'état solide et formés de N-morpholino-N-nitrosaminoacétonitrile et de cyclodextrines ou de dérivés de cyclodextrine, lesdits complexes renfermant éventuellement des ions à titre de catalyseur ou d'agent stabilisant. Les complexes libèrent de l'oxyde nitrique à la température ambiante lors de leur dissolution dans l'eau ou dans des systèmes aqueux. On a également prévu des compositions pharmaceutiques et des kits contenant ces complexes. Les kits sont utilisables comme normes de libération de NO pour la libération de NO selon une quantité et une vitesse prévisibles lors de la dissolution dans les milieux aqueux. En outre, on a prévu des procédés de préparation desdits complexes, consistant à soumettre la 3-morpholino-sydnonimine à l'action catalytique des ions à un pH approprié, afin de déplacer l'équilibre vers la formation de N-morpholino-N-nitrosaminoacétonitrile en présence de cyclodextrines ou de dérivés de cyclodextrine pouvant former des complexes d'inclusion, le N-morpholino-N-nitrosaminoacétonitrile ainsi formé étant immédiatement complexé et stabilisé, et à isoler à l'état solide les nouveaux complexes ainsi obtenus qui renferment éventuellement des ions.
