A series of N,N -dimethylated N-confused porphyrin salts were synthesized through methylation of N-confused porphyrins using Mel in the presence of Na2C03. These compounds have an intense absorption around 790 nm. It has also been shown that N,N -dimethylated N-confused porphyrin salts can generate singlet oxygen when irradiated. They are, thus, potential sensitizers for PDT(photodynamic therapy).

L'invention concerne une série de sels de porphyrines N,N'-diméthylées N-cocondensées qui sont synthétisés par méthylation de porphyrines N-cocondensées au moyen de MeI en présence de Na¿2?CO¿3?. Lesdits composés présentent une absorption intense autour de 790 nm. Il a été également montré que les sels de porphyrines N,N'-diméthylées N-cocondensées peuvent produire de l'oxygène singulet lorsqu'ils sont irradiés. Ainsi, ils constituent des sensibilisateurs potentiels pour une thérapie photodynamique.
