ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE N,N-Distubstituted ethylglycine (thiol) esters of the formula Image (I) in which R represents alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, cyanoalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, halogenoalkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkoxy- alkyl, acyloxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, alkylsulphinylalkyl, alkyl- sulphonylalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl or optionally substituted aralkyl, R1 represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen, R2 represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen, R3 represents hydrogen, or alkyl, Y represents oxygen or sulphur and R and R4 can represent a variety of organic radicals, which possess fungicidal activity.
