ABSTRACT This invention concerns novel substituted amidine compounds, process for their preparation, and compositions thereof. The compounds correspond to the formula Image wherein R and R1 each independently represent halo, C1-3 alkyl, or C1-3 alkoxy; m and n each independently represent 0 or 1; and R' and R" each independently represent C1-3 alkyl, and pharmaceutically-acceptable salts thereof. The compounds have activity as anti- depressants and antianxiety or calming agents.
