The present invention is directed to a new NADH oxidase from Lactobacillus. Also disclosed is the nucleic acid sequence coding for this NADH oxidase, as well as the vehicles containing the latter, such as plasmids or microorganisms. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the production of the enzymes and a process for the production of furthermore improved enzymes and also their preferred uses.
