ABSTRACT An apparatus is disclosed for removing fasteners, such as nails and the like. The apparatus includes a pair of pivotally attached levers each having handles at one end, while the opposite ends are provided with support members and claws which, respectively, engage the surface within which the fastener is embedded and the shank of the fastener. Upon the manual application of a force to the handles, the levers coact to apply a separating pressure between the fastener and the material within which the same is embedded to effect an axial withdrawal of the fastener.
